Our Consultants
Health Care Aotearoa is network of community health providers. As part of our strategic plan to support our members we have compiled a suite of consultants. These consultants are well versed in the health sector, HCA kaupapa and have a variety of skills. Many have a long association with the HCA network and our membership.

Jenni Moore
Jenni Moore first learnt of the HCA network when she came to help develop the Te Wana quality programme in 1999. Since then Jenni has worked for HCA in a number of capacities, most recently the interim co-leader in 2009. Jenni also has experience working with a regional health authority and currently works as a consultant. Jenni is a mother and grandmother and currently lives near Whangarei with her partner.

Chris Clarke
Chris has over thirty years experience health management, community and social work. He also has extensive HR and governance experience, excluding a stint on the HCA executive between October 2004 and May 2009. During 2009 Chris and his wife Jenny spent six months in Timor Leste as volunteers working for an indigenous eye health service. Chris provided managerial mentorship and worked in an advisory capacity with the National director.

Anthony Cook
Anthony has over a decade & a half of middle & senior management experience in the disability support, special education & health sectors, including overseeing the establishment of eight PHOs in New Zealand, and the development of management service contracts with thirteen PHOs. Anthony is a health services manager with the following qualifications: BA, Certificate in Business Computing, Diploma of Management, Post-Graduate Diploma of Arts, Associate Fellow Australian College of Health Service Executives. Anthony currently lives in the Waikato.

Petra van den Munckhof
Petra van den Munckof has had a long history in the community sector and has supported a number of organisations in their development and sustainability. Petra has a passion for working collaboratively towards making a difference in the tangata whenua community and voluntary sector, utilising her skills to meet the challenges to promote and deliver effective outcomes for the most disadvantaged. Petra is a mother of two, partner, eldest daughter within immigrant family of seven children.

Nigel Chee
Nigel has worked across the health sector for a number of years, including work for the Ministry, DHBs and community organisations.. Nigel ‘s expertise are in change management and assisting organisations through periods of transition. He currently lives in Auckland with his partner and son.

Kataraina Pipi
Kataraina is of Ngāti Porou/Ngāti Hine descent, lives in Auckland, has two children and has her own business in Facilitation/Evaluation and making Māori Music, thus the business name – FEM! She has many years experience in the facilitation of hui, conferences and training events and also works alongside other Māori colleagues as an Evaluator/Researcher. Kataraina has over 10 years experience as an Evaluator within Māori communities particularly in the health, social services and education sectors.

Ara Swanney
Ara Swanney has worked within the health and community sectors for over thirty years. Ara also has twenty-five years facilitation experience, her facilitation style is affirming and cooperative, valuing the strengths that lie in diversity using a that as a foundation for building strong community groups and organisations whilst also generating personal awareness and responsibility. Ara’s experience and training have helped her to develop a variety of tools and processes designed to clarify the focus and goals of groups, teams and organisations. Ara is a registered nurse and is currently the manager of Porirua Health Plus PHO.

Colin Cox
Colin is Director of Ignition Training Systems and Director of the Institute of Neuro Semantics of New Zealand and a Board Member of the Neuro. He is personally committed to maximising the latent potential within people from all walks of life and dedicated his time and energies in delivering training that awakens people to realising their dreams and aspirations. Colin has an international reputation for providing exceptional trainings which positively influence all those he presents too. He is known by his friends as Col and resides in Manukau City with his partner Lena.
