Te Wana Team

Frances Anderson

I have 20 years experience in the community sector including mental health and public health knowledge working with a wide range of individuals, groups and organisations in a variety of ways.

My knowledge and skills are around group facilitation, policy advice, education, health promotion as well as community engagement.

I have a personal and professional commitment to social justice, inclusion and Te Tiriti o Waitangi as the foundation document of Aotearoa. I have been priviliged to be sponsored by Te Runaka ki Otautahi O Kai Tahu in the facilitation of the Like Minds Like Mine Maori Caucus.

I have for some years been involved with Te Wana through effectively managing the national coordination of the process for the Mental Health Foundation New Zealand.

Ngati Rangi and Whanganui

I have a long standing passion for the aspirations and work of Health Care Aotearoa and Te Wana – in fact I was an early member of the HCA Executive, Te Wana Steering Committee and a participant at the original Te Wana Peer Reviewer training workshop in 1999.

My work history is filled with diversity within health, education, social development, management and business. I have also been a key driver in the rejuvenation of the Raetihi business community.

I am excited to be newly aboard the Te Wana team as Executive Administrator and part of the Healthcare Aotearoa Whanau.

I have a  background  in Maori education and Anthropolgy. This has exposed me to employment opportunities in  both the education and health sector.

I look forward to contributing to Te Wana.

Kia Ora

I joined Te Wana as the Office Manager in February 2008. I am in charge of managing Te Wana workshops and training seminars and ensuring that all organisations enrolled on Te Wana programme have the material and support they need to succeed.

I have a strong background in Administration and Vet Nursing. I have a great interest in quality health care and am in my element working with Te Wana to help organisations achieve the best they possibly can.
