Te Wana is the name given by a group of Kaumatua Kaunihera to the quality programme developed by Health Care Aotearoa (HCA) in partnership with the Quality Improvement Council (QIC).

The words Te Wana mean:

 "To challenge ourselves to achieve things, and to challenge our organisations to achieve the standards of highest quality."


What Te Wana offers

Te Wana offers Standards for Quality Improvement that can be used for development or accreditation.

Standards are available for:

  (Includes standards on Treaty of Waitangi)
- Primary Health Care
- Community & Voluntary Sector
- Mental Health
