Health Care in Action

The Pomare Access Project was undertaken because there was a need to improve access and integration of health and social services in Pomare. Ora Toa Health Porirua’s Te Runanga O Toa Rangatira Inc.  is riding the wave of success and loving it.

Siniva Talaga – Community Staff Nurse . Siniva begins work at 7.30 in the morning and on occasions can still be on the job at 9 at night, attending to the needs of her pacific patients.

From Australia’s outback to Otangarei … For 10 years Australian, Catherine Perez, and her partner, Chris, lived and worked in some of the remotest parts of Australia, working with Aboriginal communities in a primary health care context.

In 2006, HCA member, Vibe, celebrated 10 years of providing health, support and education services with and for young people (10-24 years old) in the Hutt Valley.
